New year...New Resolution

The new year is always considered to be a good time to reflect on how you are doing personally and professionally. It'll be a time to answer questions like 'did you accomplish the things you set out to do?" It is a time for looking back to the past, and also a time to look forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want, or need, to have the motivation to move forward. Many of us choose to make a New Years resolution to improve something about ourselves after reflecting on the past year. For me personally...I'd go with the flow. I'll live one day at a time. Making plans may be beneficial yet we must be prepared to face the unexpected. I learnt this in my life. Life is an everyday education.Like Anatole France said "an education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another. So...all i ask now...is..

God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.
